2023 marks the 50th year of Project Tiger in India – a conservation programme started way back in 1973 to save the National Animal of India from extinction!
With 53 Tiger reserves (started with 9 in 1973) and 3167 wild tigers (as per latest Census), India has come a long way. But the journey needs to continue as the Tiger continues its battle for survival in this vast populous country!
